Major award for Crisis FT partnership

Crisis and the Financial Times scooped the Charity Partnership, Media & Entertainment award at Third Sector's Business Charity Awards.

The organisations were recognised for the Crisis Christmas Card campaign where, rather than send traditional Christmas cards, businesses are encouraged to donate to Crisis in return for a customised video e-card, and appearance in a double page spread donated by the FT every December.  In addition, FTstaff have recruited high-value donations from companies, donated  £97,000 directly to the charity, and have  helped launch the Urban Investors campaign, encouraging donors to see their charitable contribution in terms of an investment in society.

Mayaz Rahman, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Crisis, said: “We’re delighted to have been recognised for the Crisis Christmas Card. Our partnership with the FT has brought in more than £10m which is a massive boost to Crisis as we aim to help more homeless people in more places than ever before. Huge thanks to the FT for their commitments over the last 20 years, and of course to all the businesses who have donated. I look forward to seeing the partnership continue to flourish in the future.”
