Do something hopeful during the UK’s week of hope.
We know life is hard for a lot of us right now - and has been, for many, for years. Just getting by day to day or week to week is a struggle. A safe home feels out of reach for too many of us.
But ending homelessness is a hopeful act. It takes kindness, care and being there for as long as it takes.
We also know our communities are full of hope and care. In fact, they’re built on it. People doing stuff to help others out – or into a safe home.
And too often the hopefuls go unseen. Unnoticed. And their hard work - sometimes in difficult circumstances - is too often unrecognised.
That is why Crisis is joining A Million Acts of Hope in May 2026 to bring hope into the open.
A Million Acts of Hope is bringing together hundreds of charities and faith and community groups to celebrate hopeful acts in Britain - and Crisis is proud to be part of it.
For a week in May - the 13th to the 20th - we are asking people to tell the world about the acts of hope that they are seeing around them.
This might be picking up a prescription for a neighbour, making a cup of tea for someone in your local community or anything that makes life a bit brighter for others.
Community groups, individuals and organisations can find more information about how they can get involved by signing up on A Million Acts of Hope's website.
If you want to show your support or organise a hopeful event, you can download free resources from A Million Acts of Hope's Community Hub.
We will also be trying to break the record for the biggest ever thank you card! Sign the card.
